I was in a Hot Topic in an outdoor mall. I was talking with an employee and they walked up a spiral metal staircase through a trapdoor in the ceiling. It was completely empty outside, just being a big icy field. On the roof was a tall lighthouse pillar with more stairs leading up to it. Next to the lighthouse, there was an engine hatch like a train's. A golden retriever who lived in the Hot Topic was responsible for dragging coal into the hatch to fuel the light turning. The employee was in charge of changing the oil and cleaning the light. They said they took shifts maintaining it, and that they left food for the dog at times when no one at all was manning the lighthouse.
