Nordic Aliens are described as being tall (around 6-7 feet tall), pale humanoids with long blonde hair and blue eyes. They get their names from their resemblence to a stereotypical Scandinavian human. They are usually depicted as being benevolent and friendly. They are associated with spiritual growth, love, and peace. The first sightings of Nordic Aliens were in the 1950s, concentrated within Europe. Their reputation likely originates from claims made by George Van Tassel in 1952, who alleged to have receieved a telepathic message from an alien named "Ashtar", who spoke of peace on Earth. After that, a number of people claim to have encountered Ashtar. The name was later mentioned again in the 1977 broadcast audio-hijacking of the British channel Southern Television, in which a voice claims to be Vrillon, a representative of the "Ashtar Galactic Command". Vrillon urges humanity to drop their weapons in order to achieve "future awakening" and to "achieve a higher state of evolution". This broadcast was reportedly preceeded by a 1971 call into a British Radio Broadcast dedicated to UFOs, where the caller claimed to be an extraterrestrial.
The Cosmic People of Light Powers, aka the Universe People, are described as celestial beings closely resembling the description of the Nordics, both in appearance and in their peaceful values. They are the subjects of a Czech religion founded in the 90s by Ivo A. Benda. The religion is centered around the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations which can communicate telepathically with specific human beings (most prominently Benda himself). According to Benda, The Ashtar Galactic Command operates spaceships orbiting Earth, where they wait to transport followers of the religion to another dimension in the case of a cosmic apocalypse. The religion advocates for improving positive vibrations in your body, and defending from the attacks of negative extraterrestrial entities, most notably the Saurians.
